We are focused and dedicated to increase social skills in individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Dominique's career began in 2007 at Homes in Partnership, Inc. she became diverse in all aspects of the program and in 2016 she became Director of Housing where she has assisted hundreds of families with homeownership. Dominique's background in real estate includes certifications in Credit Counseling, Financial Literacy, Financial Coaching, Section 504 USDA Rural Development Loan Packaging Certification, a member of the Family Self Sufficiency Advisory Board for Orange County Housing and Community Development, and a Homebuyer Education Facilitator. Dominique's experience includes extensive knowledge in Down Payment Assistance Programs, Subsidized Mortgage programs, and Credit Restoration. Dominique decided she would take her talents further into the world of real estate and became a licensed Real Estate Agent, with Prestige Realty Consultants in 2017 where she has continued to serve her community. Dominique is passionate about redefining the real estate industry by providing a one stop shop with a superior level of service.

Dominique Johnson

Carol A. Johnson was born to the late James and Rosalyn Grubbs on March 12, 1957 in Zellwood, Florida. Carol graduated from Apopka Memorial High School in 1975. She obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in 1979 from Valencia Community College; a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work in 1979 from the University of Central Florida; and a Master of Arts Degree in 1982 from Nova University in Human Service. For thirty-one, years she was employed in various capacities with Orange County Government, last holding the position of Area Coordinator/Supervising the managers of the twelve Community Centers throughout Orange County. Carol’s passion is working with youth. She has committed many hours to projects that are youth related. Carol realized that the youth of the community are our future. She is taking steps to ensure they are ready to rise to the challenge. Carol participated on several committees and boards that specifically target the needs of young people. Carol contributed to the South Apopka community in various aspects with underprivileged youth and youth without direction in a low-income environment. Carol retired after 31 years to take care of her parents until their death. Carol is currently a business owner having opened a Group Home for persons with disabilities.

Shakaya Filmore

Chastity was born and raised in Orlando FL. She graduated from Edgewater High School in 2002. In 2003 Chastity went to Lincoln Tech College graduating becoming a M.A/X-Ray technician. She is a certified nursing assistant. Chastity learned throughout her journey that She loved working with people with special attention needs. As She began to grow and became more familiar with behavioral adults by becoming a behavioral tech that included running programs at Quest Inc. Chastity went from a Direct Staff Provider in2007 to a Supervisor in 2008-2013. In 2013 Chastity decided to change careers. She always had a passion for helping others. She accepted a position at Florida Hospital as a patient care tech after a year of doing clinical work. She was presented with a new job opportunity to become an executive assistant specializing in accounting. She has been in this position for 7 years. Chastity has now accepted a role for Michael Hearts Academy. Being in healthcare has been so much growth and joy throughout her life. She has expanded and explored her passion and calling for those in need.

Chastity Moye

Jaquisha Nelson, she was born in Bartow Florida. She graduated from workforce Academy in 2008. Jaquisha attended a work program in high school, which allows her to work and go to school. Jaquisha started out working as a volunteer with Independently Developing a New Way. She was later hired to transport individuals to adult training programs. Jaquisha started working with individuals at Florida Mentor group home in 2013. These individuals have intensive behaviors, which requires Professional Crisis Management. Jaquisha completed 1 1/2 year at Valencia college. She has currently relocated to Polk County where she continues to work with Florida Mentor. Jaquisha believes joining Michael Hearts Academy will continue to allow her to give back and support the mission.

Non-Profit Roundtable Committee (NRC)

 This Committee is to bring local community non-profits together in the efforts to continue to provide community support. We will work together with the partnered local non-profit round-table committee members to assist with community events such as: Fundraising Efforts, Marketing Efforts, Event Volunteering.
